Saint-Job

The house is located on a busy street in the south of Brussels. The house was in really bad shape and needed a complete reorganization and refurbishment. The proposal integrates a clear opening of the house toward the garden by placing the kitchen in direct connection with the terrace and a newly created so called ‘aromatic garden’. The first floor is dedicated to the parent’s life with a bedroom, small office and bathroom.The second floor is the children’s level. The kitchen desk, made of on site cast concrete, articulate the house with the terrasse wich also includes on site cast elements such as a bank and a Barbecue desk. To maximilze the daylight into the house, The window frame goes before the existing woodenstructure  in order to get the larger opening possible within the existing situation.
